Felling and pruning

Just like every other part of your home, your garden needs maintenance. When it comes to trees, this maintenance usually takes the form of either pruning or felling. But what are pruning and felling, and in what circumstances are they necessary?

Pruning

Put in its simplest of forms, pruning takes place when a tree is taking up more space than you would like it to, than is healthy for the other plants around it, or when a tree has dead, diseased or torn branches.

An all over pruning can be done regularly (every year, normally in spring or summer) on many trees, to ensure that they are healthy and are kept at the right size.

Pruning

Tree felling is the process of cutting down a tree. It's a task that should only be undertaken by a professional, as it can be dangerous work if you don't know what you're doing. A tree might be felled in order to make room for landscape work, or if it is diseased and there is no chance of it recovering.

Both pruning and felling require expertise, and should only be attempted by those who are trained. If you need felling and pruning in Coventry, then get in touch with our highly experienced team to see what we can do for you.
